Bathroom Makeover

  • Location - Bourton on the Water, Cheltenham

  • Project Cost - £10,000

  • Details - This bathroom renovation began with a blank canvas. To keep costs down, we aimed to maintain the existing layout of the fixtures. However, one of the biggest challenges with refurbishing an older bathroom is uncovering the true condition of the floors and walls once the tiles are removed. Unfortunately, in this case, we discovered extensive damage—requiring a full floor replacement and significant repairs to one of the walls. This added both time and cost to the project.

Once the structural work was complete, the transformation truly took shape. Mandarin Stone tiles added an elegant touch, while removing a wall within the shower area created a more open and spacious feel. The vanity unit, sourced at a great price from Bathroom Mountain, was given a bespoke look with “Sudbury Yellow” by Farrow & Ball and Matilda Goad handles. Lighting from Pooky and Mrs. Alice enhanced the space, and the window treatment—an affordably priced blind from one of our go-to high street retailers—added the perfect finishing touch.
