Our Top 5 Interior Design Trends for 2024

Colour

Specifically strong, bold colour. Red is having a moment in the fashion world aswell as the interiors world and it is showing no sign of slowing down. Whether it is bold red or deep burgundy, this colour seems like it is here to stay. Mustard or yellow is another colour which seems to be attracting a following. It really serves to brighten a space and always brings an element of happiness.

Bobbin and Scallops

These two features have been around in the interiors world for a while, but whilst some people thought they might be a ‘fad’ even normally traditional furniture companies like Oka are creating Bobbin mirrors and frames because the desire for them is just so strong. Be it Bobbin, Scallops or a Wave it really helps to modernise a space and bring it into 2024. Add a strong colour and you’re there!!

Floral

Another long standing design feature, but whether it is muted or strong colours it is having a moment. Have a floral cushion, curtains or even a photo frame and the softness it provides is always satisfactory.

Texture

Texture can come in many different forms, wood, plaster, boucle, velvet, or matching different styles of wood together. This year there will be a strong movement towards a more neutral style with elements of bold colour surrounded by texture to really make a space feel it’s most elegant.

Statement Tile and Flooring

This is especially prevalent in bathrooms, there is a strong use of two different colour or textured tiles being clashed against each other, in different directions or whether they are classic styles or more modern styles too. This is also being seen on the floor and on kitchen walls too.
